Prior to 2004 PROSymbiotics® purchased colostrums from New Zealand for use in its PRO Symbiotiscs® products. In 2004 PROSymbiotics® began purchasing all colostrums from a United States supplier because PROSymbiotics® determined it to have a MUCH higher efficacy. Here are some interesting facts about our product.

Independent clinical testing conducted at the University of Otago in New Zealand showed that our U.S. processed PROSymbiotics® colostrum with its patented BIO-lipid™ delivery system was 100% to 250% more effective than the leading competitive colostrum from New Zealand in destroying or severely inhibiting the growth of a large number of harmful pathogens.

Independent testing also has shown that our Bio-lipid™ delivery system is up to 800% more soluble to offer superior bioavailability.

PROSymbiotics® colostrum is made in the world’s ONLY plant designed for and dedicated to colostrum production, NOT in large milk processing plants that are temporarily converted for use during breeding season.

PROSymbiotics® colostrum is obtained from grass-fed dairy cows that are pesticide, antibiotic, rBST, rBGH and BSE-free. They are never fed artificial feeds or feeds containing animal parts. Natural feeding is essential to capture beneficial enzymes and important nutrients such as Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) that are not present when a cow eats dried, processed feed.

PROSymbiotics® Colostrum products are only from the early colostrum collected within 12 hours after birthing. This is the richest colostrums with the highest level of immunoglobulins (Ig) and growth and immune factors. The Ig level is tested in each batch of PROSymbiotics® colostrums and a minimum of 25 percent Igs is guaranteed. Other colostrums brands (including those from New Zealand) typically contain colostrums from the first FOUR days after birthing. After the first day, colostrums begins a transition to milk and has significantly less efficacy (3 to 14% IgG) THAT IS A 50-75% DROP IN EFFICACY!

PROSymbiotics® colostrums is produced using our proprietary low heat and low pressure process and is dried in the only colostrums processing facility with an indirect heat dryer.

The proprietary production process utilized to produce PROSymbiotics® colostrums results in a higher level of proline-rich-polypeptides (PRP) in the colostrums. PRPs are arguably the most important part of colostrums; they modulate the immune system. PROSymbiotics® is the ONLY brand to guarantee a minimum of 3% PRPs.

PROSymbiotics® colostrums are collected year-round only from USDA Grade A dairies, guaranteeing freshness. Other colostrum brands typically come from colostrum that is collected once a year in the spring. So typically it is months old before it is sold.
